If your question isn't covered here, the fastest path is a short email stating your jurisdiction, end-use, and approximate volume.
How do I start?
Send us a short message — your location, what you're considering, and a way to reach you. Either through the inquiry form below or directly on WhatsApp for a faster response. We typically reply within one business day with next steps.
Who do you work with?
Refiners, jewellery houses, family offices, individual high-net-worth buyers, and regional traders. We assess each inquiry on its own terms — there is no required corporate profile to begin a conversation.
How long does a first transaction take?
Most first transactions move from signed agreement to documented delivery in two to four weeks, depending on volume and how quickly KYC documents are exchanged. Repeat business moves faster. We share an indicative timeline on first reply.
Who is Atlas Grey Minerals Ltd?
Atlas Grey Minerals Ltd is an authentic gold brokerage operating across the East African region. We connect verified miners and sellers with international buyers, and manage every step of the transaction from origin through to export-ready delivery.
Where do you source your gold?
We source African gold, with a primary focus on the East African region. Our network of miners and sellers spans Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan.
Do you deal in gold nuggets?
Yes. We work directly with miners and sellers who produce gold nuggets, as well as larger sellers offering consolidated lots. All material is verified and documented from origin.
Why is the gold smelted before export?
Gold nuggets are not permitted for export from Uganda in their raw form. To comply with the law and to deliver an export-ready, traceable product, all material sourced through Atlas Grey Minerals Ltd is smelted at authentic, vetted facilities, then weighed, assayed, and documented before shipment.
How are export preparation costs handled?
To prepare a consignment for export, the buyer funds the documented third-party costs of doing so — refinery booking, assay and testing, export permits and documentation, and logistics coordination. These are disbursed against milestones and allocated to verifiable services, not retained as a fee. The arrangement secures the parcel, initiates the smelting and assay process, and supports a clean discharge at the close of the transaction.
What do the export preparation costs cover?
Export preparation costs are allocated to specific, verifiable third-party services: refinery and smelting booking, assay and testing, government export permits and documentation, and the logistics of moving the consignment to the point of export. It is not a standalone payment — it covers the work required to prepare your consignment for delivery.
How is commission structured?
Commission on each successful transaction is split between the seller and the buyer. This keeps our incentives aligned with both parties and ensures the cost of brokerage is shared fairly.
What is the collateral, and who holds it?
To protect the buyer, Atlas Grey Minerals Ltd awards collateral to the buyer equal in value to the percentage the buyer pays toward taxes and other clearing costs. The collateral guarantees that the buyer's upfront contribution is secured against the consignment for the duration of the transaction.
How is the collateral held?
All collateral is held under joint custody for the duration of the transaction. Neither party can move or release the collateral unilaterally; release occurs only when the agreed transaction milestones are met. This removes single-party risk and protects both buyer and seller.
Do you only operate in Uganda?
No. While we are based in the region, we deal in African gold across East Africa, with active sourcing in multiple countries. Our reach gives buyers consistent access to verified material from a range of origins.
Are you a refinery?
No. Atlas Grey Minerals Ltd is a brokerage. We coordinate sourcing, smelting at vetted facilities, assay, documentation, and export — but the refining and smelting itself is carried out by authentic partner facilities, not by us.
